It’s time you became the black sheep and standout this party season…
Yes boys, party season is upon us which means it’s time to add a touch of spice to your party/dinner outfits.
If you’re reading this then you’re definitely someone who doesn’t want to look to your left or right and see that you’re dressed like every other guy in the room. #Lame
No, of course not! You want to stand out, be seen, let everyone know you took pride in your outfit tonight!
You know what, I couldn’t agree with you more. But, there’s a trick to doing a lot without doing too much.
Here are 3 tips to help you stand out this party season without going overboard
The velvet effect
You guessed it, throw on a velvet blazer, ideally one with a distinctive base colour such as a red, burgundy or green.
This is going to add a nice touch to what would be a boring black-tie outfit whilst giving off a classier and fashionable feel.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, not it’s a floral blazer
Although summer is over that doesn’t mean floral prints are dead. A floral blazer or any type of printed blazer is definitely something that will catch people’s eye.
The more eccentric the pattern the more you’ll stand out. My personal recommendation is to go for a subtle print. This allows you shine bright without looking like you’ve tried.
You know, that effortless vibe, like “mate, this is too easy for me” haha.

A punch of colour
Last but certainly not least. Adding a punch of colour with a bold solid-coloured shirt which will make a basic outfit standout.
I’d recommend going for a red, green, gold or even pink shirt with a silk or shiny finish as this has more of a party/dinner feel to it.
The shirt is from Zara and you can shop it here.
There you had it, 3 style tips to turn your next dinner or party outfit into one that’s going to make you stand out from the crowd and attract the right attention.
Who knows, that floral blazer may even attract your future miss.
