Your Paul Smith Winter inspiration is here…
On a chilly Wednesday morning, with the sun shining but temperatures well below freezing, we took to the streets of St Pauls to create some magic in partnership with Paul Smith.
This season’s Paul Smith collection features a wide range of autumn-winter essentials, from Gingham down jackets, cashmere overcoats, and printed cable-knit sweaters, so there’s definitely something for you this winter period.
For those who may never have heard of this prestigious English brand. Paul Smith was founded by Sir Paul Smith in 1970 back in his hometown in Nottingham. The brand has since gone on to become one of the most recognized brands in the UK and overseas.
I was fortunate enough to style some of the newest pieces from their new in A/W collection. Check out what I picked up below.
Look 1 – The Gingham effect
A true statement piece, this black & white gingham down jacket is the perfect piece for the winter period. Stylish, yet practical, you can easily dress it up or dress it down. As this jacket really stands out, I’ve stripped it down, going for a fitted white t-shirt, black trousers, and black shoes to give it a smart but relaxed feel.
Look 2 – The Charles Darning
We have two staple pieces featured in this look. Firstly, this chunky ecru wool knit sweater, with darning detail. The multi-colored darning detail adds an extra element to this bold winter sweater. Teamed with some grey wool knit trousers and a pair of beautiful camel suede Chelsea boots. (note: shoes come up a little big, I recommend ordering a full-size down)
Look 3 – The Smith Stripes
Stripes and bold patterns are synonymous with Paul Smith. For this look, I’ve gone for a more tailored smart casual feel. Their signature grey cardigan with the ‘artistic stripes’ is a great lightweight piece to style by itself or layer up with an overcoat. Finished with some tailored navy trousers and simple white trainers.
