Have you experienced The Hoxton Holborn Hotel?…
Hello, Hello, Hello!
Hope you’re having a beautiful day so far, if not, then maybe you need a change of scenery, a change of environment or a change of space.
With that being said, this weekend I was invited down to ‘The Hoxton Hotel’ for a stay at their residence in Holborn. I have previously been there for lunch and work meetings because they’ve got this very chilled, yet productive atmosphere which is the perfect place to get sh*t done.
However, I have never stayed a night at any of their hotels (Amsterdam, Paris, Williamsburg, Portland, and Shoreditch) but friends have spoken highly of it.
I’m lazy, is it well-connected?
The Hoxton Holborn is located in Holborn, London only a 15-minute walk from Oxford Circus (Central London) or two stops on the train. Which is great because you’re very well connected to public transport, restaurants, and shops, but not in the thick of it that you feel overwhelmed by the city.
Don’t worry, be Happy…What are the people like?
NOW! Important message. Check-in at The Hoxton is after 2 pm. Don’t make my silly mistake of arriving with your pearly whites glistening at 12 pm, only to be told “sorry sir, your room isn’t ready yet” #schoolboyerror haha.
Luckily enough, the reception staff were super helpful and offered to take our bags whilst we waited. In the end, they provided us with private access to get some cool images for this blog post.
Sleep is life, what about the room?
Ok, so far, so good. A great hotel, great location, great service, and the room did not disappoint.
I don’t know about you, but I love little details. As soon as you walk into your room there is a radio playing classical music, which instantly makes you feel right at home.
Not only that, you’re greeted with a nice personalized card and motivational quotes book (which will be coming home with me haha – keep that hush-hush).
I stayed in the ‘Cosy’ room which was very spacious and had a classic yet modern feel. It’s the perfect size if you’re staying alone or with a partner.
Sul, what can I eat?
You’ve got two options when it comes to breakfast. You can either go downstairs to their beautiful restaurant and order something specific from their menu or, upon arrival you can fill out a form to receive a complimentary breakfast bag.
My final thoughts…
My overall thoughts are, the Hoxton Holborn is a really great place to stay, which is well connected to the city with great food and drink selections both inside or outside the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is very chilled and welcoming. Most importantly, the rooms are very modern and contain all the necessities for a pleasant stay.
